John Sowden HouseI actually had the honour of visiting the John Sowden House in person after being commissioned by the couple who live there. Theyd seen my rendition of the front of the house and requested a custom illustration of their courtyard, which became my first ever sequel print. Exploring the house felt like stepping into a villains lair. The dramatic architecture and the many cats roaming around only added to the feeling.

something I still wear proudly to this day

Although it wasn’t raining when I visited

they’re easily some of my favourites in the city

but if you didn’t know its history

I’m also lucky enough to be in touch with the owner of the house

but I love that it’s one of the few places left in LA that still holds onto such traditions
