Lot 018 - Grouping of Eight Vintage Spider and Web Placecard HoldersGrouping of eight vintage placecard holders, each in the form of a spider at the center of a wire spiderweb. The web is hexagonal with radiating spokes and concentric rings of wrapped wire, and the spider at the center has a hinged clip mechanism on its underside for standing, with the card held by the spider's legs. Green verdigris is present on several of the spiders and at various points along the wire.
The image is housed in a shaped brass mat with scalloped cartouche opening and retains its preserver
5" x 23" wooden frame of the same era
The lenses are intact
The 1/6th plate ambrotype photograph is nicely set in an ornate case that is missing its cover
