Lot 116 - Vintage Framed Japanese Silk Embroidery of a Roaring Tiger Among Bamboo and Rocks on Navy Ground, Inscribed on Verso March 29, 1976, 15-5/8" W x 30-1/2" HFramed silk embroidery depicting a roaring tiger descending through a rocky landscape with bamboo stalks and foliage, worked in polychrome threads on a navy silk ground. The piece is presented in a gold tone wood frame. A pencil inscription on the verso of the paper backing reads "From Pastor and Mrs. Hm March 29, 1976," with portions partially illegible. The paper backing shows tears and a hole at center.
