The sword is an Oakeshott type XI, featuring a flat brass crossguard and a brass pommel of the 'Brazil nut' type. The pommel features an enamelled red Templar cross. This sword has a blade of EN45 carbon steel, tempered to a hardness of 5055 HRC. The tang construction runs through the entire grip, and the pommel is peened onto the tang.
