15th century couters avantThe elbow armour is based on the 15th century original that forms part of the Avant armour. These large couters provide extra protection on the inside of the elbow. They may be attached to the gambeson or chain mail with leather laces. The elbow armour may be worn separately, or combined particularly well with other armour pieces.
