One area that can benefit from improvement is the exhaust systems mid pipe design. The G80 G82 M3 and M4 utilize a Y style mid pipe, with both downpipes located on the right side of the engine. The left side downpipe connects to a crossover pipe that runs beneath the transmission and links up with the mid pipes on the left side.
