Art Deco Ruby Solitaire RingExcellent ruby solitaire ring dating from the Art Deco period, circa 1920. The central stone is a bright and vibrant, 2. 5 carat pinkish red 'flame fusion' ruby, flanked by millegrain platinum stepped shoulders each set with three old cut diamonds. A gorgeous bimetal effect results from the use of rich 18ct yellow gold for the band. Synthetic, or lab grown, gemstones were a relatively new phenomenon in the 1920s, the technique for producing sapphire
and it became fashionable to identify with the struggle for the vote
circa 1930
It's crafted in 18ct gold with London hallmarks from 1975
circa 1925
dating from the latter half of the 19th century
The emblem comprises two crossed Vickers machine guns (
Roman personal seals were mainly used in the execution of legal contracts
This one's crafted in 9ct rose gold with Chester hallmarks from 1917
or 7 inches
Some abrasion/nibbling around the table facet consistent with age and use
the deities were able to metamorphose into swallows
it's an excellent twist on the classic wedding ring
