Like several wines in the range there is an intense floral character to the highly restrained nose that combines notes of red cherry

The color is an opaque purple

fully mature

with time in the glass showing its complexity from the lees and white flesh fruit

precise and intense medium weight plus flavors are still vibrant and relatively tight on the sleekly muscled and powerful finish

and it is even better out of bottle than it was in barrel

The appropriate dosage and the length on the palate persists during the tasting

There is notably more volume and mid-palate concentration to the relatively supple medium weight plus flavors that tighten up noticeably on the dusty

a floral note that is unmistakable

This is the epitome of power without weight as it packs a massive punch yet seems completely effortless while doing so

This moderately powerful effort is shaped by dense but fine tannins and is a wine that should amply repay extended cellaring
