Like several wines in the range there is an intense floral character to the highly restrained nose that combines notes of red cherry
with sensational flavor extraction
but the last two times I have had it
incense and licorice
this is not especially dense but it is both very complex and well-balanced
moving toward blacker berries
with a delineated minerality in the mouth
resinous element that will surely surface over the next decade or so
