Curtain Clip Pendant Necklace

Curtain Clip Pendant NecklaceI bought a job lot of these vintage curtain clips while on holiday in Croatia. I looked at them for about 3 years before knowing what to do with them. Finally I decided on a pendant and then added that to a string of silvery coloured beads. A necklace with a certain amount of attitude.

These minute vintage Japanese dolls are made from celluloid and date from the 1940s

a bridge pencil and a antique blue enamel pencil

pretty and would grace any outfit

Each pip is backed with gold and black leather and edged with seed beads

vintage black and wood beads

the colours and the fact that have been lovingly handmade and enjoyed by many over the years

Wear on its own or pair with another lock necklace which is available as a separate listing

So I snapped this up to created a practical little piece to wear

I think they are absolutely perfect and now give new meaning to their pendant partner

but perhaps it might have had a military story of some kind

Some of the hearts on this piece are hall-marked silver
