Dusk, 12" x 12"Acrylic on Canvas. "What started as a single piece and study of the beautiful Lake Louise in Banff, Alberta, soon expanded to three pieces. I wanted to challenge myself with the use of colour in these pieces and capture the warmth of the morning, neutrality of the day, and cool tones as the sun dips below the horizon. So often in life, we can be in the same place, yet experience its wonders from a completely different perspective based on the outside

To focus less on the destination and more on the journey

The looseness of the brush strokes and observing the imperfections are in a sense perfect… like poetry on a canvas

What I love most about the memories is that they truly teach us to be present in the moment which I explore a lot in my works
