HL Leonard Model 4099 Tournament bamboo rod 8' 3/2 #5For sale here is a H. L. Leonard pre fire Model 4099 Tournament bamboo rod. 8 feet, 3 2 for a DT5 line. 4 3 8 oz. Excellent original condition. All sections are full length and straight. Early patent dates on the female ferrules. Very nice medium fast action, quicker than the very popular 50DF models. The ferrules are 10 64 and 17 64 and fit together nice and tightly. The original silks show their age but all guides appear to remain firmly attached.
The reel weighs 13 1/2 oz
though the reels could benefit from a good polishing
This reel would clean up very handsomely with very minimal polishing effort

Appears to be impregnated cane
The bag is made of a satin-like material in a plum color with a black faux suede lining and paisley piping around the edge
