Three depict Northwestern University subjects in Evanston, Illinois. Two are by Carey E. Melville, Photographer, 63 Heck Hall, Evanston, Illinois: one shows a row of institutional buildings inscribed on the verso "The 'Old' and the 'New' Seminary & Heck Hall" and dated February 21, 1899; the other depicts waves on Lake Michigan, inscribed "Lake Michigan Summer 1887" and "Off Campus N. W. U." A third

The focusing knob operates
with a hole in the upper right area over the ship
and is missing one shoe
Here is a large antique print of a young girl resting on her Saint Bernard dog in an ornate gold frame
The tin retains strong graphic appeal and displays well despite condition issues
which is marked in the cast iron on the back side beneath some rust
with handwritten note on verso reading

and occasional surface marks or small bends
