Vintage Blue and White Bag CharmThis whimsical French 'creature' with beguiling eyes, beak and jaunty feather tail on wheels used to be a salt pepper pot that whizzed down a dining table. It is now a stationary handbag charm of course!

We have combined the little pig and bird with white coral and silver-plated cross charms

I got a bit aeriated when I purchased a pair of vintage gold gloves which did not fit my jumbo hands

Mint green

The croc has a yellow neck and his turquoise snout reveals clenched white teeth and a red tongue hanging to one side

I have sewn them to a backing and added hand beaded details

It dates possibly from the early 1900s and we think it makes a charming pendant to this necklace of silver-coloured metal and square matt grey beads

3 Purple Bead + Pink Shank

Wear on its own or pair with another lock necklace which is available as a separate listing

4 Pink/Gold Bead + Gold Shank

We have added some cork slice beads to continue the theme

The end result is random but a good random I hope and you can detach the pendants

It is handmade and was used to hold a thimble back in the Georgian times when many ladies did a lot of sewing
