HL Leonard Model 50 Bamboo Rod 8' 3/2 #5/6For sale here is a H. L. Leonard Model 50 bamboo rod eight feet and labeled for a six weight line but I find it nicely balanced with a DT5 as well. Serial #2540 from the Ted Simroe era. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length with no repairs. Medium colored cane with red wraps with green edges at the male ferrule and hookkeeper wraps. Down locking aluminum reel seat with butternut wood spacer. Bright nickel silver

This rod is still very fishable with a little care not to get it too wet

The script remains clean and legible
