1.48" AmmoliteAn exquisite piece of an ammolite with very vibrant hues of green and orange. Ammolite is one of natures true surprises. Found almost exclusively in Alberta, Canada, it forms from the fossilized shells of ancient ammonites that lived millions of years ago. The shell is made of aragonite, the same mineral that gives mother of pearl its shimmer, and when those microscopic layers are preserved just right, they produce ammolites famous flashes of color.
