The "Centennial" rod was built in 1981 to commemorate Leonard's 100 years in Central Valley
but the rod is clearly a Special Deluxe

The bag and tag are original but the tube is a period replacement and just slightly long

The story behind this reel is that Hardy was commissioned by Sage to make the entire run of the 500 series reels
