Burt Company, Buffalo, New York, Circa 1930s, Poor Condition, 6-1/2" HVintage circa 1930s papier mache pulp Halloween devil head lantern. Manufactured by F. N. Burt Company, Buffalo, New York. The molded figure depicts a grinning devil face with horns, pointed ears, and open mouth with painted teeth. The body is painted in orange and brown tones. A wire bail handle is attached at the top. The interior contains a partial original paper insert visible through the eye and mouth openings. The top rim is ragged and uneven
seated bareback on a rearing horse and thrusting a spear downward toward a mountain lion at the base
The photograph is in good antique condition with some wear from handling

The bank is constructed of two pressed halves that snap together
mostly portraits of a Providence
and some rot in the bottom of the can
