Silver Agave Bowl

Silver Agave BowlAvailable In Two Sizes 12 Inch & 9 Inch Contemporary Look With Black and Silver Jim throws these wonderful bowls at his studio and gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona. The agave leaf design is first drawn in pencil onto the bowl, then a layer of wax is applied allowing the black background to resist glaze. Then he dips the bowl into silver glaze which adhered to the unwaxed leaves.

Hugely popular at the Scottsdale studio these attractive planters are approximately 6 inches in diameter by 6 inches high

and is made from all-natural ingredients including soothing aloe and a blend of five essential oils

The flowers and stems are hand painted  with vivid green and purple glaze while the black background is left unglazed creating a wonderful contrast in surface finishes

Glazed a soft matte-green the dishes are created using stoneware slip so they are durable and dishwasher and microwave safe

This year for the Holidays we’ve made a batch of  Agave leaf dishes in two sizes and glazed them a wonderful copper color for Arizona
