Hardy Perfect 3 7/8" Fly ReelFor sale here is a Hardy Perfect with MKII check from the 1950s. 3 7 8" diameter. Right hand retrieve. The capacity is approximately WF8 plus 100 yards of 20# backing. The ebonite handle spins freely. The tension regulator works as intended. Ribbed brass foot is unmodified. No worrisome wobble or end play. Comes with Hardy zippered reel case.

The tensioner works as intended with a good range of spring tension

Capacity up to a DT3 line and 20 yds of backing or a WF4

Unique adjustable drag system with an external lever that allows transition from full stop to normal drag operation and then to free spool if desired

5 1/2" 11 cork western or Payne-style grip that is slightly fatter to match its use as a salmon rod
