they were polished prior to listing along with a fretboard oil

Pretty clean for it's age with only a few small signs of wear and some light clouding to the vintage white finish

this is a very well made neckthrough bass that was likely sold to the Japanese domestic market (as that's where we got it from and we haven't seen many others)
