The glaze used on this piece is custom mixed made for firing in an electric kiln at high temperatures. I finished the glaze in a gloss so it works well as a decorative piece and is lightweight and comfortable to hold. Stoneware fired at high temperatures
Casseroles and other serving pieces should be placed into a cold oven and cooked as directed
