1983 Yamaha Japan BBVIS Medium Scale Broad Bass (Metallic Red)Made in Japan in the mid 1980's, the Yamaha BBVIS was a no frills option from the BB series. A single BB P style bass pickup with master volume and tone controls, alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 32" scale length with 21 frets (42mm nut width). Weighs 4kg's. Well loved vintage condition as pictured, recently serviced including a deep clean, fretboard oil and truss adjustment. The neck is straight and it appears to be all original.

Loaded with a single aftermarket humbucker controlled by master/volume tone controls with the original active circuitry removed for a simplified playing experience
