Silver And Blue Glass Salt Cellar And Pepperette Roberts & Belk Sheffield 1977A great Art Nouveau style silver salt cellar and pepperette set with original salt spoon and blue glass liners. Both pieces have fretwork sides allowing the blue glass liners to be visible and this looks great. The salt cellar has four ball and claw feet and is oval in shape. The matching spoon has a scallop decoration to the bowl. The pepperette has a pull off lid allowing for easy re filling. These have a good weight to them as they are a good gauge

The lid slides onto the base and is a good fit

A lovely and unusually small collectable item

The hallmarks inside the lid and base are legible despite being rubbed

Hallmarks on the blade are good but shows rubbing to the makers mark although this is still legible

Silver weight:  61g

This frame has a slightly arched top and a beaded inner and outer edge

Fully hallmarked to the base of each piece and the back of the spoon

Date: 1964

The egg shaped end opens so that tea leaves could be placed inside and infused into the water by using the infuser like a spoon

These are of good quality with a great design depicting well modelled and well-cast foxes on the handles

These could be moved but we feel this is unnecessary and will cause damage to the sticks themselves
