Coalbrookdale Serpent and Grape Cast Iron BenchA rare find and much sought after this Coalbrookdale Serpent and Grape cast iron garden seat , second half 19th century, the armrests with hound headed terminals, above supports cast as coiled serpents amongst vines, the ends with registration number 17597 and diamond patent registration stamps; later replaced wood slatted back and seat. NOTE: This design, number 17597 is the second oldest seat design registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale
