1993 Yamaha Japan MGM11 HSH Electric Guitar (Blueburst)Made in Japan for the domestic market, the MG series were superstrat style models made to compete with Ibanez superstrats and have sleek rounded contours and insanely good playability. An MGMII model made in the mid 90's with a basswood body and 22 fret maple neck. Dual locking "Rockin' Magic Pro II" Floyd Rose tremolo system and a HSH pickup configuration with a simple master volume control and 5 way toggle give this some simplicity. The Blueburst

It's also got a brand new bone nut installed and a new output jack/socket

the frets appear original and are in good shape

plays nicely as it sits with shiny frets (light pitting) and a straight neck

This one has had a very obvious amateur scallop job to the fretboard and had the finish removed from the body

Truss works well and the frets are shiny with some pitting but plenty of life

Finished in a deep glossy purple finish

Gotoh tuners and a Martin style volute

This one appears all original except for the replaced locking tuners and the missing headstock logo that appears to have been sanded off for some reason

Bound beech top/back with a birch centre block

This one has seemingly had a black refinish likely early in it's life

this thing is great

P50 and J50 pickups are blendable or able to be used independently for a few tonal options
