Great Britain 1911 £1 deep green, SG320Great Britain 1911 1 deep green, SG320. A very fine and fresh unmounted mint, with full original gum, left hand marginal example printed at Somerset House. GB Specialised Catalogue No: M56. A scarce and ever popular King Edward VII stamp, rarely seen in positional form in such pristine unmounted mint condition. This most distinctive and memorable stamp design caused controversy at the time because of its unusual shape and size. It is now argued by

with a 2mm blue phosphor centre band printed under the ink of the left hand column and no phosphor on the right hand column
