1976 Set of Three Arne Jacobsen Fritz Hansen Series 7 Danish Dining Arm ChairsListed for sale is a set of three Series 7 chairs with arms, designed by renowned architect Arne Jacobsen, produced by Fritz Hansen. These examples came from a Boston Cambridge area estate and were produced in 1976. These appear to have been reupholstered somewhat recently (in the last 10 15 years perhaps) in a dark red wool material. The chairs are in very good to excellent vintage condition with light wear from use. The price listed includes all

the design makes use of four sculpted legs adopted from the Planning Unit (a design from the late 50's/early 60's) with a top derived somewhat from the Florence Knoll and Saarinen tables

The chairs are beautifully constructed and nicely in conversation with the aforementioned works

though condition can be noted from the photos

Thonet is a historically important furniture company

This example dates to circa 1960 and is finished with a walnut top and ebonized wood casing

Some light wear is shown from use

CI Designs was based in Boston and was a licensed Manufacturer of Platner works

yet offers terrific comfort

The leather appears to be Spinneybeck's Volo 0983 red leather or similar

showing some wear and nice patina to the lacquered base and lacquered maple top

Each of these chairs is crafted from Oak and upholstered in what seems to be black leather
